Primm, Nevada •Desperado: This rollercoaster brings real coaster buffs from miles around, thanks to its height. Formerly the tallest in the world, this monster is still the tallest coaster in North America, dropping riders 225 feet at one point. Rides cost $6 and run from 10am-11:30pm, until midnight on weekends. Restrictions: riders must be 48 inches tall. •Adventure Canyon: This flume ride marries the fun of a log ride with the thrill of an Old West shoot’em up. Yes, riders float around on the typical log ride experience then they drift through a shooting gallery and have their chance to shoot targets with a “pistol.” Restrictions: riders need to be 48 inches tall. •Turbo Drop: This ride hoists visitors up 180 feet to drop them like a hot potato at 45mph. Yes, people pay good money for this experience. Riders told us it was fun; we’ll have to take their word for it. The cost is $5; the ride operates from 10am-11:30pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends. Restrictions: riders need to be 48 inches tall. |
